FILMS SUBMISSION FOR THE SELECTION 2023 IS OPEN!
The KLIFAA Awards, with a focus on promoting the development of a global community with a shared future for humanity, seeks outstanding film and Telenovela programs that embody universal human values and align with common aesthetic aspirations. Its aim is to deepen cultural exchanges, foster mutual appreciation among civilizations, and enhance mutual understanding among people from all nations.
• The Selection Committee of the KLIFAA Awards is exclusively in charge of the Official Selection and decides in which section a film can participate. For feature films applying to KLIFAA, please send an email to award@klifaa.com.

The application and screening fee must be paid at the time of online registration (using the form below). The application and screening costs are borne by the producer or the sender.
Only payment by credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard / Eurocard, and American Express is accepted. Your credit card will be debited on a secure website when filling in the entry form. Payment validates the completion of registration. All payments must be made in euros.
The return transport costs are borne by the producer or by the return consignee for the print. The total invoice (transport, screening, etc.) must be paid upon arrival of the print in order for us to release the print once the Selection Committee has screened it.
Other screening materials: Following the screening, the various materials received are not returned to the sender by the Festival. (Note however that materials may be picked up directly from the Festival offices until July 14th, 2023)
Individuals and organizations submitting works must own the copyright and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations, avoiding infringement on third-party rights.In co-productions, one party must be identified as the participating entity.Entries should be in MP4 or MOV format, with a resolution of 1080P or above. The Telenovela Book-to-Screen Award Category Regulations are designed to establish guidelines and criteria for recognizing excellence in the adaptation of literary works into telenovelas for television and streaming platforms. These regulations aim to celebrate the collaboration between authors, screenwriters, and production teams that bring captivating stories to life on the screen while maintaining the essence of the original book.

Adapted Work: To be eligible for this award category, the telenovela must be based on a published literary work, such as a novel, novella, or collection of short stories.
Originality: The adapted telenovela should demonstrate creativity in translating the source material to the screen, preserving the core narrative while adding cinematic and dramatic elements.
Air Date: The telenovela must have been broadcasted or made available for streaming during the eligibility period specified by the award ceremony.
Proof of Rights: A copy of the acquired rights for adapting the literary work into a telenovela must be provided.

DCP / DVD / Blu-ray: they must be sent by mail directly to the Film Department at the Festival office (please find the address at the end of the entry form). If are sent through an express parcel service your package should read “For cultural purposes only” and “Without commercial value” on the package. For any materials sent by express parcel service, payment for delivery must have been made in full, including any duty and taxes. Otherwise, the Festival reserves the right not to accept the package.
It is also possible to make delivery in person or by courier. (Please check our office hours in advance.)
The Documentary Category Regulations establish guidelines and criteria for recognizing excellence in documentary filmmaking. These regulations aim to honor the art and craft of non-fiction storytelling, celebrating filmmakers who explore and illuminate real-life subjects, events, and issues through the medium of documentary film.
